About the project
Beyond the Hedges is a monthly podcast from Rice University that brings the school’s vibrant intellectual life to alumni and friends wherever they are in the world. Each month, the podcast opens the door to Rice’s creative and intellectual community, sharing conversations with faculty, thinkers, and doers who are shaping ideas both on campus and far beyond it. Season 3 continues this tradition of lifelong learning, offering listeners a chance to stay connected to Rice’s spirit, stories, and signature sense of discovery.
My role
Working closely with university.fm, I supported the full production of Season 3 to ensure each episode delivered clarity, polish, and a consistently engaging listening experience.
- Engineered and edited all Season 3 episodes for sound quality, pacing, and flow
- Cleaned and mixed audio recorded across a wide range of guest environments
- Refined interviews to highlight meaningful insights and keep conversations focused
- Balanced dialogue, transitions, and tone to match Rice University’s voice and style
- Provided reliable production support to maintain a smooth, monthly publishing rhythm
