I don’t know what my dream job looks like

Season 2 of Finding Fire Island premieres TODAY, and I couldn’t be more excited for people to hear it.

Working with Jess has become one of my favorite creative collaborations, and helping bring these stories to life has been one of the most meaningful parts of my career.

Over the last few years, we’ve made two seasons of Finding Fire Island (GLAAD-nominated, thank you) and The Cult of Body & Soul together. Each project has challenged me in different ways, pushed me to grow as a podcast producer, and reminded me why I fell in love with audio storytelling & production in the first place.

The truth is, I don’t know what my dream job looks like. I don’t know if it exists. I don’t know if a job is something I’ve ever really dreamt about having.

But I think it looks a little something like this.

A passion project with impact. A narrative with some purpose. No murder.

So much of podcasting is about “elevating voices” and telling “underserved stories,” but I really am so, so lucky to be able to tell these queer stories. And I’m grateful to work with collaborators who care deeply about getting those stories right.

I hope you carve out some time to listen! It was made with a tremendous amount of care, curiosity, and love, and I’m soOOOOo proud to have been a part of it. And still be a part of it, because she’s not finished yet!

See you on Fire Island!!!!!!
